One person is dead and three others hurt in two separate shootings near downtown West Palm Beach Friday night.

West Palm Beach police identified the man as 24-year old Marquell Larrice Green.

WPBPD say one shooting happened near the intersection of Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard and Sapodilla Avenue.

At 8:44 p.m. officers responded to the scene and found two men shot, and one deceased, according to police. West Palm Beach Fire Rescue crews transported the second man to St. Mary's Medical Center.

The other shooting happened on Sapodilla Avenue, just east of the West Palm Beach Water Treatment Plant. Police say the victims were also two men, but suffered life threatening injuries.

The shootings took place almost an hour apart, but police haven't confirmed whether the incidents are related.

No suspect information has been released.
