Faces of Black History: Simone Biles

Today, CBS12 highlights Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles.

She was born in Columbus, Ohio and started her gymnastics career at six years old.

Biles won her first U.S. and World and All-Around titles in 2013. From there, she went onto the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

There she won gold in vault, floor, individual and team all-around.

Biles is also the first female gymnast to win three consecutive World All-Around titles. With 19 Olympic and World Championship medals, she is the most decorated American gymnast.
