What's Lincoln Thinkin' - Who's winning the Masters?
The top players in the world are dominating golf right now. Adam Scott, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and Bubba Watson - all players ranked in the top 10 in the world - have won this year.
So while many are calling this a "wide open" Masters, they really mean, there's no clear singular favorite.
But there are a number of favorites. The four above, plus Rory McIlroy, Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson and Louis Oosthuizen are all playing great golf at this time of the season. They all could don a green jacket.
And while we've seen our share our long shots win the Masters - Trevor Immelman, Angel Cabrera, Mike Weir - all come to mind.
But this year we seem destined that a player in that top group will be victorious.
I love to see an upset.. but for my money, there's one guy who is scorching hot right now. Jason Day has won twice in the last month, and ascended to #1 in the world. In four trips to Augusta, he has two top 5 finishes, and nothing out of the top 30.
Is there a chance that someone outplays Day this weekend? Of course. But Day will play very well this weekend, and be right in the thick of it. Someone will have to have a magical four days to beat him.
