Tiger commits to two tournaments, not Honda Classic yet
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) —
Jupiter resident Tiger Woods is ready to make a full return to the PGA Tour. Now we know what the start of his schedule will look like - until the Honda Classic anyway.
Woods announced Thursday that his first tournament of 2018 will be the Farmers Insurance open at Torrey Pines later this month. He also committed to the Genesis Open at Riviera in mid-February. That event is the week before the Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, but Honda Classic reps say they haven't heard from Tiger yet.
He's played the event every year he's been healthy, since he moved to Jupiter in 2011. The Honda Classic representative says they'll likely have a better idea about whether Tiger will come back to PGA National after the seeing how he feels after Torrey Pines.
