Dwyane Wade traded back to Miami Heat
CLEVELAND, Ohio —
He's coming home.
The Cleveland Cavaliers traded Dwyane Wade back to his former team, The Miami Heat, just moments before the NBA Trade Deadline. ESPN was the first to report the news.
The Heat will reportedly send a 2nd round pick to Cleveland for Wade, Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Wade spent 13 seasons with the team after being drafted in 2004, winning three NBA titles over that span, while being named a 12 time All-Star and eight time All-NBA player.
He left the team after the 2015-16 season to sign a deal with the Chicago Bulls. He signed with Cleveland this past offseason.
Dwyane Wade's wife, Gabrielle Union took to Twitter confirming the news.
The Wades landed in Miami around 8pm on Thursday. Wade announced that he will play Friday night for the Heat at the American Airlines Arena against the Bucks.
