Smith ready to move on to Nebraska after rocky senior year
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
C.J. Smith was one of the top players in Palm Beach County. But he didn't finish the season playing football.
By the time his senior season was over, he wasn't playing for Oxbridge Academy in their state championship game. And soon after, he enrolled at Palm Beach Lakes. Wednesday Smith signed to play at Nebraska next season, excited to move on from a senior season that was not what he was expecting.
But the sky is the limit for Smith. He played offense and defense in his career at Oxbridge, but said Wednesday that he's expecting to play safety in Lincoln. He also said he's expecting to play as a true freshman.
Also at Palm Beach Lakes, Teja Young signed at FAU, Jakari Starling signed to South Dakota and Jimmy Hicks inked with Keiser.
