Seven Park Vista Cobras sign on National Signing day, including five baseball players
Lake Worth (CBS12) —
When you play baseball as a kid in Lake Worth, chances are you dream of playing for the storied Park Vista baseball team. Five Cobra players who got that chance had their next big dream come true on Wednesday when they officially signed with their college of choice.
National Signing Day saw seven student athletes sign at Park Vista, including Nina Sharpton to North Carolina State for Volleyball, Michaela Aronwitz for softball at Lynn. And then there's the five baseball players who've been playing together since they were kids, including Drew Kendall who watched his older brother's signing day at Park Vista when he was eleven, his sister after that, finally able to sign himself with Wake Forest.
"It's just great to have a brother and sister who helped me," says Kendall. "And help me through the whole journey. I've always been coming here since I was eleven, and was dreaming of the day I could come on this stage and sign for myself."
Brendan Bell and Christopher Seymour also signed, both heading to Florida Gulf Coast University to play baseball. Zachary Mendiguren signed on to play at Hiwassee College, while Nicholas Vigilante will play baseball at Bethune-Cookman University.
