Palm Beach Lakes Boys headed back to States

Two years ago, the Palm Beach Lakes girls basketball team picked up the schools' first state championship in hoops.

This weekend, the Rams boys try to equal the same feat.

Palm Beach Lakes is headed to states for the first time since 20005, and trying to win its first ever state championship in boys basketball. Players said Wednesday, they were motivated by watching the girls bring home a trophy from Lakeland two years.

But now it's their turn - a team that has matured and come along so much is playing its best basketball when it matters the most.

The 23-5 Rams will play Tallahassee Lincoln on Friday afternoon in Lakeland. The team will head up a day early. The school will send them off with a ceremony at 8AM Thursday.
