Tiger's Honda Classic decision to come right down to the wire
The Honda Classic is right around the corner, and the biggest name in golf is still on the fence.
Tiger Woods may wait until the very last minute to decide whether he's coming to PGA National next week.
"If I play in it, that's good. If I don't, that's smart."
That's what Tiger said Tuesday in Los Angeles - he's getting ready to play at the Genesis Open and at this point, doesn't know what he will be doing at this time next week.
Woods has until 5pm Friday to enter into next week's Honda Classic. But he hasn't played back to back tournaments on the PGA Tour, since returning from his latest back surgery.
"At least it's not a 'No'," Honda Classic Executive Director Ken Kennerly remains hopeful, that Tiger will be at PGA National next week.
"I think it's good that it's in his own backyard," says Kennerly.
Fellow Jupiter Island resident Rickie Fowler has played some practice rounds with Woods and says this is a different tiger than he's seen in almost a decade.
"Good to see him having fun," says Fowler.
Hopefully we'll all be able to see him inside the ropes at PGA National having fun next week.
