Jack Nicklaus, Ernie Els & Luke Donald highlight the Integra Connect Golf Classic

Very few have meant more to the game of golf than North Palm resident Jack Nicklaus. But the legendary golfer has also had a huge impact on many of our local charities.

So what better way to kick off the inaugural Integra Connect Golf Classic than a golf lesson from the the 18-Time Major Championship winner. Even golf stars Ernie Els and Luke Donald were playing close attention this morning at Trump National Golf Course in Jupiter, both looking ahead to playing the Masters in two weeks.

"I always (started thinking) about the Masters (in January)," recalls Nicklaus. "Started preparing for it, started working on playing the golf courses and the shots. I wanted to play at Augusta. I wanted to be prepared, because if you're not prepared then you're not going to do any good."

"You can't go there without a long game," says 4-time major winner Els. "So I've been working on a couple of things in my swing and my posture and so forth. I need a bit of a result. You know I haven't had a good season, so I'd love to have a bit of a result."

"I feel like my short game is always pretty sharp," says Donald. "So if I can hit a certain amount of greens around there, then I'm going to have a chance."

The Integra Connect Golf Classic raised over a million dollars for Worldwide Cancer research.
