Dolphins' coordinator Joseph downplays head coaching rumors

The Dolphins defense does not rank high in the NFL in many categories, but it has played well enough to lead the team to 10 wins.

And big credit goes to the team's defensive coordinator - Vance Joseph. And other teams are taking notice. Other teams that have head coaching vacancies.

A number of teams have been reportedly interested in hiring Joseph as their head coach next year - one report says that he is the leader for the job with the Denver Broncos. Teams can't speak to coaches while they're still playing, so Joseph said Thursday that he hasn't spoken to any team about their open positions, but he did say he is "absolutely" interested in becoming a head coach.

A pair of coaches on the staff now could replace Joseph - linebackers coach Matt Burke and secondary coach Lou Anarumo.
