Update on the Jays: Cutler will play, Ajayi out of protocol
DAVIE, Fla. (CBS12) —
The Dolphins lost another player Tuesday as cornerback Tony Lippett went down with an Achilles tear. But as another one goes down, another important player returns. Dolphins Head Coach Adam Gase announced that running back Jay Ajayi is now totally out of the concussion protocol. Ajayi said that he is healthy and is ready to play, but Gase said he wasn't sure whether or not he will play in Thursday's preseason game against Baltimore.
One player who will play is new quarterback Jay Cutler. The Fins only had a walk-through practice in the Dome Tuesday on their final workout of Training Camp, but Gase seemed even more sure about Cutler playing Thursday after the workout. Gase said it "looks like" he'll play.
The Dolphins play the Ravens at Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday night at 7pm. You can watch the game here on CBS12 Thursday night.
