Miami Marlins squeak by N.Y. Mets thanks to scary Noah Syndergaard comebacker

NY Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard in action in Jupiter on Saturday

New York Mets' ace Noah Syndergaard dodged a scary predicament when he got hit hard with a comebacker off the bat of the Marlins' Justin Bour. As it turns out, the baseball hit his glove, with no damage done physically, but the play also allowed the only run of the game to score in a 1-0 Marlins spring training win.

Fans in Jupiter were treated to a pretty sweet pitching match up featuring Syndergaard, who reached 100 MPH twice over 3 innings, taking on the Marlins Jose Urena, who struck out two Mets over two scoreless innings pitched.

The Marlins improved their spring training record to 6-2 as they head on the road to play the Atlanta Braves in Kissimmee on Sunday.
