Marlins pitcher Odrisamer Despaigne looks strong in Marlins win over Nats

Odrisamer Despaigne pitches for the Marlins on Wednesday

As Marlins fans continue to try to get to know their new look Miami Marlins, Odrisamer Despaigne looked solid in three innings pitched on Wednesday at Roger Dean Stadium, striking out four Washington batters along the way.

The Nationals were not able to overcome some second inning mistakes, starting with a throwing error from Anthony Rendon which scored Lewis Brinson and extended the inning. Brian Anderson eventually scored as well, giving the Marlins a 2-0 lead, and an eventual 3-1 spring training win.

The Marlins will travel to Port St. Lucie on Thursday to take on the Mets.
