Earlier today the three Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicking Award finalists payed a visit the young patients at Palm Beach Children's Hospital. The kids were so happy to meet Daniel Carlson from Auburn, Utah State's Dominik Eberle , and Matt Gay from Utah, and vice-versa.
"To be able to kind of have that influence," explains Carlson. "And hopefully bring a smile, and say a couple positive words, and words of encouragement (means a lot)."
"Just to get to know them a little bit," says Gay. "Talk to them about their life, and what they're going through, and hopefully be a highlight in their day, and make them smile."
The 2017 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award winner will be announced on Thursday.
