FAU will open select spring football practices to the public

For one of the most anticipated spring football seasons in school history, FAU will open some of the practices to the public. Owl fans will get their first opportunity to see Lane Kiffin lead his new program.

Spring practices begin on Tuesday, March 21 at 9:40 a.m. The Owls will hold the NCAA permissible 15 practices each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and will conclude the spring season on Saturday, April 22 with a 4 p.m. “Spring Game”.

The Spring Game at FAU Stadium will be open to the public.

On April 8th, the Owls will practice at Carter Park in Broward at 1pm. This marks the second year that FAU will hold a spring practice at the facility - it is free and open to the public. Those two workouts are the only ones that are open to fans.

FAU’s NFL Pro Day is slated for March 30. FAU assistant coaches and freshmen will not be allowed to speak with the media during spring practice.

Kiffin and the Owls enter 2017 coming off three straight 3-9 seasons and the firing of former coach Charlie Partridge. FAU returns 18 starters from last year and opens its season Sept. 2 at home against Navy.
