Family still waiting to hear from Stoneman Douglas swimmer
PARKLAND, Fla (CBS12) —
Nick Dworet has been confirmed among the victims killed in the shooting.
The family of a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School senior is still waiting to hear from him, hours after the shooting at the school.
The family of 17-year-old Nick Dworet says on Twitter and Facebook that they need help from anyone that has seen or heard from him.
The Broward Sheriff's Office had yet to release the identities of the 17 dead or the 16 who were rushed to Broward Health North, Broward Medical Center and Broward Health Coral Springs.
Joseph Chiarella was one of the people posting about Dworet, saying that his daughter was his girlfriend, and she and his friends hadn't heard from him.
Twitter user Jonah Carignan tweeted a picture of Dworet, and wrote: "MISSING! His name is Nick Dworet. He’s a fellow swimmer and friend of my little sister. Please notify the police if you see him."
Just last week, Dworet signed a letter of intent on National Signing Day to swim and go to school at the University of Indianapolis.
