Fewer American adults are trying to lose weight and for an unexpected reason, according to CBS News.
Researchers from Georgia Southern University say the percentage of overweight adults trying to lose weight is lower than it was in recent years. They say it's become more socially acceptable to be overweight, reducing the motivation to lose unhealthy weight.
According to CBS News, another reason researchers say people have stopped trying to lose weight is because of several failed attempts.
