Thief busted after using stolen credit card to order pizza: Sheriff
MARION COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) —
One man's craving for late-night pizza led to his arrest on theft charges.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office said a man had his wallet stolen from the lobby of the Day's Inn on Saturday.
A short time later, investigators learned a credit card belonging to the man's wife had been used to order pizza from Papa John's.
The sheriff's office said the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Christopher Lowe, used his name on the order and asked for the pizza to be delivered to his room at the Day's Inn.
Deputies went to his room and found him with the stolen wallet and credit card, according to the sheriff's office.
Lowe is now at the Marion County Jail on charges of petit theft, larceny of a lost credit card and credit card fraud.
