President Trump and Stormy Daniels could cross paths this weekend in West Palm Beach
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
President Donald Trump and infamous porn star Stormy Daniels could cross paths this weekend.
BothTrump and the woman he’s accused of having an affair with, 31-year-old Stephanie Gregory Clifford, will be in town.
The Stormy Daniels tour will make its way to Ultra Gentlemen’s Club on Friday and Saturday nights.
The venue is essentially right long the Presidential motorcade route, just 10 minutes away from Mar-a-Lago and right next to Trump International Golf Club.
“This is not what a normal porn star goes through when she makes a booking,” Ultra general manager Stacy Saccal said.
It certainly isn’t with Daniels here on the same weekend Trump will host the Prime Minister of Japan.
When asked if he was comfortable with bringing Daniels here with the cloud of controversy surrounding her, Saccal said that's why she did it in the first place.
“That’s why I love it," she said. "That’s why I booked her.”
Saccal told us she booked Daniels right before the scandal broke.
“Money, controversy, the whole thing,” she said.
Daniels last performed at Ultra in 2006. That’s the same year she claims she had the one-night affair with Trump.
Saccal says the proximity of Mar-a-Lago, Trump International Golf Course and the motorcade route were all part of her plan to get Daniels to Ultra.
Not to mention, she says, a recent interview on 60 Minutes on CBS, which she believes just adds fuel to the fire.
“She doesn’t like what she’s going through,” Saccal said as she recalled emails with Daniels. “I don’t think she wanted to spin in this direction.”
However, she didn't consider the performances at Ultra disrespectful to President Trump.
“I actually feel that he would actually think of me as very smart business woman and that’s what business is,” Saccal said. “It’s about making money and just getting people to come out.”
As for the alleged affair, Saccal remains indifferent.
“He’s [Trump] had several marriages,” Saccal said. “I don’t judge people. It is what it is. I’m not shocked. I’m not surprised he’s had several marriages. I don’t judge people. It is what it is. I’m not shocked. I’m not surprised and I really don’t care what his personal life is."
But for now, Saccal remains focused on the weekend and getting the stage set as the highlight of her 20-year career.
“At the end of the day, that’s all it is. It’s just business,” she said. “It’s just unfortunate that it turned into this for either side.”
Daniels will not speak to the media while she’s in town.
Saccal says there will be extra security on hand this weekend.
Daniels is expected to perform four times over the weekend and the club expects record crowds.
Saccal says she hasn’t heard from the Trump administration and doesn’t expect them to be calling anytime soon.
