Police investigate armed bank robbery in Port Saint Lucie. (PSLPD)

Officers from the Port St. Lucie Police Department are investigating an armed bank robbery that happened in Port St. Lucie Thursday morning.

According to PSLPD, the robbery occurred at Seacoast Bank on SE Port St. Lucie Blvd. around 9:43 a.m.

Officers say three armed black men with masks hopped the counter, took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in a white SUV.

At the time of the robbery there were approximately 11 people inside the bank including employees.

Police found the SUV abandoned a block away from the bank just before 11 a.m., police said. The SUV also discovered the SUV was stolen.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office and the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office have been notified.

The men should be considered armed and dangerous, police say.

No injuries were reported.
