Patrick Hannon executed by lethal injection

Patrick C Hannon (FDOC)

CBS12’s Greg Angel, a media witness, reported Patrick Hannon was executed at 8:50 p.m. by the State of Florida.

Hannon was executed by lethal injection. Hannon was convicted for the murder Brandon Snider and Robbie Carter in 1991.

Originally slated for 6 p.m., Hannon’s last minute legal maneuvering delayed the execution by nearly three hours.

Greg Angel reports there were 18 witnesses including Hannon's family.

This was Hannon's final statement:

“I hope this execution gives the Carter family some peace. I wish I could have done more to save Robert. I didn’t kill anybody, but Ron Richardson and James Acker did. Robbie was a good man, and a good friend, and I let him down when he needed me most. As far as Brandon Snider, I think that everyone knows what he did to get this ball rolling. I’m sorry things worked out like this. The way it did.”
