Not your average flu symptoms
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
The health department is reporting that the flu is getting even more intense statewide.
And now, some children are coming down with symptoms you wouldn’t usually associate with the flu.
Jeffrey Collins, the chief medical officer for MD Now Urgent Care, told CBS12 there are many different symptoms associated with the flu. Some of the things you should worry about are if your child’s skin is blue, if they're having trouble breathing, if they are more irritable than usual or if they have a fever with any rash-like hives.
Collins says if you see any of these symptoms in your child, you should take them to an urgent care center or hospital immediately.
