Multiple agencies contain 500-gallon fuel spill in Martin County
STUART, Fla. (CBS12) —
After several hours, agencies managed to contain a 500-gallon fuel spill in Martin County.
The incident occurred in the Saint Lucie River, near the Roosevelt Bridge on Saturday.
A fueling company was putting fuel into a 90-foot Hatteras yacht when the fuel leaked out, officials said.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office were on scene along with the FWC, Martin County Fire Rescue, Stuart Police Department, Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Coast Guard, according to the sheriff's office.
