Man killed by Brightline train in Boynton Beach

Man killed by Brightline train in Boynton Beach (WPEC)

Boynton Beach police say a Brightline train struck and killed a man.

The incident happened on the tracks at 11:19 a.m. Friday along South Federal Highway, just south of Woolbright Road.

No word on how the man ended up on the tracks. CBS12 is reaching out to Brightline for more information.

Police say the crash is not impacting traffic in the area.

“We continue working with the Boynton Beach Police Department. The only safe place to cross a railroad is at a designated crossing. Never try to beat a train," Ali Soule, a Brightline spokesperson, said about the incident.
