Man accused of killing mother and child to appear in court
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
A West Palm Beach family is one step closer to justice following the heartbreaking murder of a local mom and her young daughter.
On Wednesday morning, 26-year-old Marlin Joseph will go before a judge, accused of killing 36-year-old Kaladaa Crowell and 11-year-old Kyra Inglett.
After several days on the run, U.S. Marshals captured Joseph Tuesday afternoon at an apartment complex in Lake Worth.
Police say Joseph shot and killed Kyra and Crowell just three days after Christmas at the West Palm Beach house where they all lived together.
According to Joseph’s mother Robin Denson, she was in a relationship with Crowell.
Days after the murders, Denson made a tearful plea for her son to turn himself him.
While Joseph’s arrest brings some relief to a community on edge, so many questions still remain like why he killed them.
We could learn more information about a possible motive when Joseph goes before a judge.
His first appearance is set for Wednesday at 9:30 AM.
CBS12 will be inside the courtroom and will bring updates throughout the day as they develop.
