A helicopter crashed at the Treasure Coast International Airport Tuesday afternoon, the St. Lucie County Fire District said.

The helicopter, which took off from Boca Raton Airport, flipped over and crashed as it was moving above Taxiway C at the airport around 1 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

No serious injuries were reported and nobody needed to go to the hospital.

The St. Lucie County Fire District initially reported that two people were aboard, but the FAA is reporting that the pilot was the sole occupant on the helicopter.
