Coast Guard rescues 56-year-old from sailing vessel near Key West
KEY WEST, Fla. (CBS12) —
The United States Coast Guard rescued a 56-year-old from a sailing vessel near Key West on Tuesday.
According to the USCG, the man was rescued 12 miles east of Key West.
CG watchstanders received a report at approximately 1 a.m. from the man suffering from shortness of breathe and exhaustion.
The man traveled from St. Petersburg to Key West on "The Anthem."
USCG Raymond Evans crew launched their small boat crew who took the man to awaiting medical services at Station Key West.
