Chilly Tuesday with another front on the way
South Floridians woke up to much colder air Tuesday morning as a cold front pumped cold air from the North. Temperatures at daybreak are forecast to be in the 40s for most areas, staying closer to 50 degrees along the coast in Palm Beach County.
With a NW wind around 15 mph to start the morning, it is going to feel much colder, with wind chill temperatures in the 40s for everyone. A beautiful afternoon will follow with plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 60s for most, and near 70 further south. A small craft advisory will remain in effect until 8am Tuesday.
The front that brought the cold air is a part of the same storm system bringing another Nor'Easter to the northeast. Because of that, hundreds of flights are already cancelled for today across the country, so be sure to check with your air carrier. There are 24 flights cancelled into and out of PBIA and 37 into and out of Fort Lauderdale.
Another front will move in on Thursday and reinforce the cold air already in place. Winds will increase our again for the end of the week.
