Brightline train strikes fourth person
WILTON MANORS, Fla. (CBS 12) —
Another person has been hit by a Brightline train. This time in Wilton Manors.
The person was hit along the 1200 block of Northeast 24th street according to Wilton Manors Police Department Spokeswoman Jennifer Bickhardt.
The injury does not appear to be life-threatening according to Bickhardt, but investigators are still working the scene.
In the first week of service, a Brightline train struck two people.
This has caused political leaders to find new ways to improve pedestrian safety.
Some on the Treasure Coast have opposed Brightline’s eventual push north.
