Big Dog Ranch Rescue raised $1 million during their annual Wine Women and Shoes fundraiser. It was the largest luncheon ever in Mar-a-Lago history.

Big Dog Ranch President Lauree Simmons spoke with us on CBS12 News This Morning. CBS12’s own Liz Quirantes emceed the event.

Event goers got an exclusive fashion show, a taste of unique wines and a chance to partake in a silent and live auction.

The proceeds went to Big Dog Ranch Rescue, which is the largest no-kill animal shelter in Florida.

Simmons explained they are now building a new facility at 1930 D Road, Loxahatchee, FL 33470. It is designed to have everything dogs need to recover from any pre-existing medical conditions and become well balanced dogs, all while under the loving care of their staff.

Big Dog Ranch is currently looking for sponsors for the project.
