Some Epipen batches recalled due to injector issue
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) —
Several batches of the EpiPen Auto-Injector are being recalled.
Alphapharm Pty Ltd. is recalling four batches of the Adrenaline Injection Syringe Auto-Injectors. The company said in a statement the devices may contain a defective part that may result in the device failing to activate or requiring extra force to activate.
In a batch of 80,000 devices, there have been two reports of the device failing to activate, the company said.
The recalled product was made by Meridian Medical Technologies in St. Louis Missouri.
