Salvation Army's Angel Tree looking to bring Christmas gifts to local children in need
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL. (CBS12)-- Making dreams come true! The annual Salvation Army Angel tree is helping children and families for the holidays.
The special tree at the Gardens Mall that through your generosity could provide gifts to hundreds of local children for Christmas.
Many angels on the tree have been already been adopted, but the Salvation Army needs your help to adopt the others and bring a smile to a child's face during the season of giving.
Major Luna Smith is one of the Ministers with her husband Major Pierre who run the Salvation Army in Palm Beach. With a background in nursing. She always knew she wanted to serve.
"I love to serve and I love what I'm doing."
Together, Luna says together we can continue ‘Doing the Most Good’. The Angel tree is a simple and easy way to make a difference in a child’s life.
"The angel tree is a highlight of the season for the Salvation Army in the community provides gifts for unfortunate children with the help of the community. It's a blessing to give to receive as well."
The Angel Christmas is located in the Palm Beach Gardens Mall. It is decorated with paper angel tag ornaments with the first name, age and gender of a child and what they would love for Christmas. "
While they are at the mall shopping, donors remove one or more tags from the Angel Tree and purchase appropriate gifts described on the tags.
"Knowing that poor so much love into shopping and giving it's very special to the community and the children that will be receiving the gifts.

They also welcome volunteers to join the sights and sounds of The Salvation Army’s Red Kettles and volunteer to become the bell ringers.
"To know people care at such a time like this we still have the love that we see that's going on that makes me feel and encouragement to keep doing what I'm doing make me feel very good."
