Miami-Dade County Police Department have identified Damian Antwan Thompson, 19, as the ambush shooter of two undercover officers.

Several CrimeStopper tips connected the teen to the shooting.

The department tweeted an update on the investigation Wednesday morning.

One detective was wounded in his leg, and the other sustained a gunshot wound to the arm.

They were transported to Jackson Ryder Trauma Center and were reported to be stable. The officers were identified as Terence White, a 26-year veteran, and 11-year veteran Charles Woods.
