New Trend: Turning to plastic surgery at a younger age than ever before

How social media is changing the face of plastic surgery after NCIS: New Orleans on CBS12 News at 11.

Men and women are turning to cosmetic surgery at a much younger age than ever before.

It's a surprising side-effect of our Instagram culture.

Dr. John Westine is a Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in Delray Beach. He said the new trend is younger men and women doing smaller procedures so there's not a dramatic change when they get older.

"If you intervene, little by little, incrementally you get that sort of effect, as opposed to, the one and done in your late 50's, 60's 70's," said Dr. Westine.

For real estate agent Juliet Warner, looking her best aids in branding herself on social media. She said looking your best is not just a personal thing anymore, but also a professional one.

"I think that plays a big part in us being conscious of the way we look."
