Consumer Reports: Grandparents scam

It's not a new scam, but it's one of the trickiest and is showing no signs of slowing down.

The so-called "grandparent scam" involves callers pretending to be grandchildren in distress, needing attorneys fees or bail.

Individual police departments can deal with five to 10 victims a month.

Family members should talk to their elderly relatives and make sure they are aware of this scam.
